Our work depends on Cloud Developer Advisor joining our Cloud/Infrastructure team team to support the ACF Office Chief Information Office with Application Development, Business Intelligence, Enterprise Resource Planning and Infrastructure Optimization.How a Cloud Developer Advisor will make an impact:

Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD), build, test and maintain infrastructure and tools so that software can be developed and released.

Design, develop and maintain automated deployment of containers on AWS cloud utilizing the AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service

Utilize CI/CD tools and applications including GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, and Flux.

Partner with cross functional teams, such as Security, Architecture, Governance, and other teams to comply with governance and security requirements.

Responsible for creating, configuring, and maintaining application specific GitLab pipelines.

Integrate security measures directly into the CI/CD process, ensuring that all applications deployed meet federal security standards and best practices.

Provide ongoing support for AWS-based infrastructure, including setting up EC2 instances, managing RDS databases, and ensuring that applications are deployed and scaled appropriately within the cloud environment.

Ensures platform implementation has appropriate design patterns and coding standards in place. Continuously works toward secure and scalable solutions.

Work with emerging technologies to develop solutions supporting development and migration (to AWS cloud) efforts that support the client's mission.

Required Skills:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education and 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing container (Docker) solutions on Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.

Ability to obtain and maintain an HHS High Risk Public Trust (Tier 4) clearance.

Working knowledge of AWS and Cloud Computing concepts

Hands-on experience using Terraform as Infrastructure as Code/automation technology and one or more technologies for CI/CD systems like Jenkins, Kubernetes, ELK stack, Splunk etc.

Hands-on experience with other IaC automation technologies like Ansible and CloudFormation.

Experience with Infrastructure Capacity Monitoring and Automated Scaling solutions.

Networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP

Using Git as version control platform

Strong hands-on coding in one or multiple of the mainstream languages like Python, Java etc.

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in RDBMS

Desired Skills:

Terraform certification is preferable.

The likely salary range for this position is $114,750 - $155,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
