As a Cyber Security Analyst supporting GDIT, you will be trusted to work with the cyber security architecture and engineering team. In this role, a typical day will include:Assist senior members of the team in evaluating security architectures and developing strategic roadmapsPartner with the Vulnerability Management Team to ensure they have the tools necessary for success in remediating vulnerabilities and policy compliance issues within the environmentConducts software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integratedConducts comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systemsEvaluates information system security throughout the project and development life cyclePartner with the SOC in the deployment and maintenance of endpoint detection, log collection, and email security tools that are necessary for threat analysis and risk mitigationLook to automate tasks where possible utilizing PowerShell, API, or other scripting technologiesTests, implements, deploys, maintains, and administers the infrastructure hardware and softwareAssist team members in conducting risk assessment and provides recommendations for application designAssist in the implementation of systems, applications, and solutions for internal enterprise-wide cyber systems and networksStay up to date on vendor roadmaps, research new features and capabilities for existing tools, and assist in POVs for productsPerform other tasks as assignedWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education/Experience: Bachelors degree with 1+ years of related experience.
Required Skills and Abilities: Experience with CUI data management. Working knowledge of Risk Management and Information Assurance principals.
Preferred Skills and Abilities: Security + or other cyber certification preferred
Location: Hybrid to our Falls Church, Virginia office
Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance
The likely salary range for this position is $76,690 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
