The right candidate should have experience in Tableau implementation, adoption and best practices. He/she should be capable of leading a team of analysts working in a collaborative agile environment and translating business cases into effective, impactful visualizations.The NPDB (a program within HHS and HRSA) is chartered to improve the quality of health care in the U.S. by requiring state licensing boards, hospitals and other health care entities, and professional societies to identify healthcare practitioners who engage in adverse or unprofessional behavior; and to restrict the ability of physicians, dentists, and other health care practitioners to move from state to state without disclosure or discovery of their previous medical malpractice payment and adverse action history.Responsibilities:

Develop Tableau dashboards based on client requirements, involving agile prototyping, and refinements after user acceptance testing sessions

Design Tableau dashboards UI/UX, and recommend them to the client.

Maintain, upgrade, and administer a multi user Tableau Server implementation on an AWS EC2 instance

Create user-friendly Tableau data sources accessible to business users for web authoring

Develop and support complex analysis, reports and data extracts

Lead meetings and presentations with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Support our continuous innovation environment by staying abreast and proposing new AWS technologies, cloud native data management and analysis technologies, and external data sets

Required Skills:

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical fields with at least 3 years of experience in Tableau

Must have knowledge of business intelligence, data warehousing, relational databases and SQL

Experience in evaluating and merging unique data sets to augment and streamline existing processes and deliverables

Experience of developing and implementing data governance policies and supporting infrastructures spanning diverse stakeholders.

Experience of developing software using Agile methodologies

Experience using manipulating and presenting data using MS Excel

Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Desired Skills:

Experience in using Jira and Confluence

Experience in conducting health care related research and analytics

Experience conducting statistical, AI/ML, natural language processing modeling, analysis, implementation and continues evolution

Experience conducting trade studies and implementing business intelligence tools/solutions in collaboration with Federal customers and stakeholders

Superior communication skills working proactively and collaboratively with research and non-technical stakeholders to implement and enhance internal and external management reports and public-facing data analysis tools and data sets

Superior writing and communication skills. Must write succinctly and clearly and explain complex situations in plain English to technical and non-technical audiences.

The likely salary range for this position is $97,750 - $132,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
