Drive future cloud network architecture with a focus on security.HOW A CLOUD NETWORK AND FIREWALL ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing network and security devices, processes, and procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and technical constraints.
Propose a future state cloud network architecture leveraging Oracle Cloud services.
Design and implement the proposed cloud network architecture, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Configure and manage network and security devices in the cloud environment, including but not limited to firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
Develop and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
BA/BS and 5+ years of experience or equivalent years of experience
5+ years of related experience as a Network Engineer, focusing on cloud networking.
Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching.
Experience with network security principles and best practices.
Familiarity with industry-standard network and security devices such as firewalls, routers, switches, and load balancers.
Experience in reviewing and documenting network and security architectures, processes, and procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
US Citizenship Required

The likely salary range for this position is $91,034 - $123,164. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.Our benefits package for all US-based employees includes a variety of medical plan options, some with Health Savings Accounts, dental plan options, a vision plan, and a 401(k) plan offering the ability to contribute both pre and post-tax dollars up to the IRS annual limits and receive a company match.To encourage work/life balance, GDIT offers employees full flex work weeks where possible and a variety of paid time off plans, including vacation, sick and personal time, holidays, paid parental, military, bereavement and jury duty leave.
