Description
Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a registered nurse and / or physician. Provides for personal care, comfort and assists with safe, clean environment, maintains equipment and supplies.
Under the supervision of an RN, performs basic patient care activities.
Minimum Education
High school diploma or equivalent required Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to work all shift patterns including week-ends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of Sovah Health Danville on all units. Required Skills
Certifications :
Heartsaver CPR American Heart Association required Required Skills
Licenses :
Active, unrestricted Certified Nurses’ Aide (CNA) certification by the Virginia Board of Nursing required.
