The successful candidate will have extensive experience planning, coordinating, and executing, test events; will have provided expert ASW operations and maintenance training to U.S. Navy sailors while underway; and will have a demonstrated ability to solve problems.GDIT JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provides expert knowledge and ingenuitive solutions resulting from equipment assessments and test events.

Provides expert knowledge and guidance for innovative product trainings.

Provides expert knowledge and partnerships for product enhancements.

Applies theories and write reports to outline issues and solutions.

May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)

Recognized as a subject matter expert in Anti-Submarine Warfare operations and maintenance.

Our work depends on Field Engineer Expert joining our team to plan, coordinate, and lead Test and Evaluation (T&E) events in support of advanced Torpedo Defense capability development.HOW A FIELD ENGINEER EXPERT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration, and/or enhancement of company technical products, programs, and systems.

Develop training curricula and lead shore-based and at-sea training for U.S. Navy sailors.

Oversea at-sea test events, document test outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement to senior leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience: 20+ years of related ASW and Torpedo Defense experience

Required Technical Skills:

Must be able to manage projects and track progress against planned schedules and budgets using Microsoft Office products.

Must be able to develop presentations for senior leadership that effectively inform the audience of test objectives.

Must be able to effectively communicate ideas to senior leadership and subordinate staff.

Must be able to accurately document test outcomes.

Security Clearance Level: Secret

Required Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to identify problems and develop solutions to ensure successful outcomes.

Must be able to work independently and with others.

Must be able to work onboard ships in industrial environments, as required.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders and stairs, squat, and reach for material and equipment.

Candidate must be able to wear safety hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and other Personal Protective Equipment as required.

This position requires occasional travel, both CONUS and OCONUS.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
