Looking for seasonal full or part time farm labor for a small organic, sustainable farm in Waynesboro.
Pays $15/hour. Initial season April - November but can lead to full-time for the right candidate. Previous farm experience a plus but not required. Ideal for students wanting to learn small farming techniques.
Work includes but not limited to:
Seeding new plant starts in the greenhouse
Direct seeding crops in the field
Bed preparation, including tillage, cover cropping, compost spreading, amending, and tarping/covering
Weeding and crop maintenance, pruning, trellising, covering etc.
Harvesting, packing and storing crops for market
Crop residue cleanup
Selling at Farmers market or the Farm Stand
Selling at the on farm stand
Feeding and caring for chickens
Tractor work
Miscellaneous farm tasks
