Queen City Bistro is on the lookout for a Cook to join our team. Specializing in Italian and Southern food, we are a new establishment building a kitchen team that values excellence and the well-being of employees and guests.
What We Offer:
Competitive Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience.
Sign-On Bonus: $300, payable after 90 days.
Benefits: Meals on duty, employee discounts, and an optional 401k plan with a 3% match.
Work-Life Balance: Operating Tuesday to Saturday with Sundays and Mondays off. Shifts typically start around 12pm-2pm and run to 9:30-10:30pm, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities.
About You:
You have at least 1 year of experience in a kitchen setting or relevant culinary training.
You're capable of handling both prep and line duties with efficiency and care.
You're a team player who values cleanliness and organization.
You're eager to contribute to a culture of excellence, recognizing the importance of your role in the broader team and the experience of our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of our menu items with attention to detail and adherence to recipes.
Ensuring all dishes are executed with care, meeting our high standards for safety, quality, and presentation.
Collaborating with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth service flow during peak times.
Following food safety and cleanliness guidelines to maintain a hygienic kitchen environment.
