This position requires an active TS/SCI with Poly, and is located in Chantilly, Virginia. This person will provide system engineering and technical assistance within an NRO Satellite Program Office (SPO). Responsibilities include oversight of satellite command and control design, development, test, verification, and integration. Requires communication and coordination within the SPO, other government organizations, and with the prime development contractor. Position Key Duties/Responsibilities include : Oversight of software development program- Ensure developer software release schedule supports program milestones to include: system/enterprise/ad-hoc tests, Space Vehicle Pre-Ship, Transition to Operations
- Manage/prioritize developer Defects and Discrepancy Reports (DRs)
- Manage program risks and opportunities
- Verify and Validate program requirements - review of factory verification evidence for requirement sell-off to customer as part of Verification Review Board (VRB) process
- Review enterprise Requests For Change (RFCs) for impacts to the Electro-Optical Vehicle Unique Element (EVUE)
- Support weekly developer EVUE tag-ups
- Travel to support EVUE Program Management Reviews and Side Sessions at factory sites
- Coordinate with Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) staff regarding the Mission Management Command & Control (M2C2) program for interface development/documentation, EVUE-M2C2 factory integrated tests, software delivery planning, software architecture strategy, Information Assurance compliance
- Coordinate with Mission Operations Directorate (MOD) staff to ensure planned software capabilities support operational needs
- Support identification of root cause of operational issues related to the EVUE
- Coordinate Operational Fixes (O-Fixes) between the development contractor and MOD for time-critical software updates
- Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with current Polygraph
- BS in a STEM technical discipline
- Must be self-starter, requiring little to no government direction
- Demonstrated excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate between Government organizations
- Familiarity with NRO ground system operations
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in NRO system program offices
