This is a remote position.As a part-time employee we will offer competitive compensation, inclusion in the BD Incentive Compensation Plan, and limited benefits package including 401K and 11 paid holidays.Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

Work through all phases of the Business Development (BD) Lifecycle including prospecting, qualifying, capturing, and successful proposal development for Federal Government opportunities

Be the capture manager for Federal Government contracts primarily in enterprise IT solutions matching KGS’s Strategic Pillars

Work closely with the Growth and Business Operations Executive Leadership Team members in advising and improving on the company’s critical sales and support functions including business development, contracting, and compliance

Advise on pre and post award contract administration issues and negotiations with customers

Identify opportunities in key customer, capability, and geographic areas including those outlined in KGS’s Strategic Pillars

Mature opportunities through the BD Lifecycle by meeting with key constituents and address any capability gaps

Close new business opportunities for KGS

Prepare gate review materials with support from LOB Presidents, Solution Architects, and Business Development / Capture team members

Track, monitor, and prepare for opportunities to be released in systems like GovWin, GovTribe

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum of thirty (30) years of total experience in Business Development and/or Contracting Lifecycle arena within the Federal Government

Demonstrated track record of Business Development and Contracting successes within the Federal Government

Candidates must be a US Citizen

Excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills

Must be fully fluent in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word PowerPoint and Excel

Working Environment & ConditionsThis job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
