Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the wood and furniture manufacturing industry. Located in Ashland, Virginia, this workplace role involves the proficient handling of customer inquiries and account management, with a focus on maintaining accurate records and processing customer applications.Responsibilities: Efficiently handle initial customer inquiries and provide knowledgeable answers about products, pricing, deliveries, and availability. Manage customer orders, ensuring accuracy in processing and maintaining order workflow. Attend daily production meetings to stay updated on operations. Maintain an up-to-date and accurate shipping plan. Resolve order discrepancies and handle any issues that arise promptly and professionally. Monitor customer accounts, taking appropriate action when necessary. Process, audit, and file various documentation in a timely manner. Use software applications such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Excel for data entry and invoice processing. Maintain and update customer prices in SAP as needed. Reconcile account discrepancies using skills in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Requirements Proficiency in account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial information. Experience in handling accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to maintain financial records and ensure timely payment processing. Familiarity with billing procedures to ensure accurate invoicing and payment collection. Competency in data entry tasks to maintain and update accounting records. Experience in invoice processing to ensure timely and accurate billing. Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. Familiarity with Oracle database management for maintaining financial records. Experience in using QuickBooks for managing business payments, billings, and payroll functions. Knowledge of SAP software for managing business operations and customer relations.
