Piper Companies is seeking a Director of Software Development (UI/UX) in the Arlington, Virginia area for a world leading technology organization. The Director of Software Development (UI/UX) will be responsible for the overall UI strategy, leadership, and architecture of a world class industry changing product. All project efforts the Director of Software Development (UI/UX) will be leading are brand new. Responsibilities for the Director of Software Development (UI/UX) include: • Collaborate with cross-functional roles to communicate and align development efforts with Architecture Roadmap • Partner with Scrum Teams to align development efforts to the Architecture Roadmap • Create, improve and define processes and best UI architectural practices • Collaborate with product teams to understand business and product goals Requirements for the Director of Software Development (UI/UX) include: • 8+ years of professional experience leading teams • Previous experience successful leading multiple teams delivering software products • Proven past experience architecting high performing UIs • Strong experience leveraging JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React • Strong Agile experience • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and/or relevant works experience Compensation of the Director of Software Development (UI/UX): $170,000 - $225,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package • No relocation assistance, sponsorship, or C2C arrangements available Keywords: Director of Software Development, Director of Software Engineering, software architect, director of ui, chief ui architect, angular, react, azure, aws, JavaScript, Angular, Arlington, VA, Washington DC
