ECS is seeking a
Cybersecurity Engineer to work in our Arlington, VA office. Job Description: ECS is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Army's Integrated Pay and Personnel System Program at the program management office in Crystal City, VA. The work will predominately be on site at the program management office with the opportunity to work remotely up to two days per week. The Cybersecurity Engineer:- Supervises, manages, and coordinates the activities of the Cybersecurity Team.
- Plans, implements, upgrades, or monitors security measures for the protection of computer networks and information.
- Ensures appropriate security controls are in place that will safeguard digital files and vital electronic infrastructure.
- Responds to computer security breaches and viruses.
- Provides support to collaborate with stakeholders, contributes to work products, and reviews contract deliverables throughout design, development, and implementation.
- Manages the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for an ACAT-I program. Develops, implements, and monitors associated policies and procedures.
- Monitors cybersecurity processes for conformance to security initiatives.
- Assesses Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVAs) plans and processes.
- Develops and maintains Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAMs).
- 10-years of relevant cybersecurity experience or a Master's degree with five-years' experience or a Bachelor's degree with seven-years' experience.
- Experience in DoD system accreditation, Risk Management Framework (RMF), and application security.
- Security+ and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certifications.
- Top Secret DoD clearance.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced environment and willing to make decisions and changes that are necessary for programs success with little to no oversight.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or information systems.
- Experience working with Army PEO; preferably within Enterprise Information Systems (EIS).
