Painter or Painter's Apprentice
Job Details - Though focused on interior painting, we are looking for one or more people to work on interior or exterior paint projects and help with occasional pressure washing in Chittenden County. Tasks may include:
- Carrying 5 gallon or 1 gallon paint cans
- Cleaning job sites
- Preparing and cleaning substrates for paint
- Protecting adjoining substrates from paint
- Filling and sanding nail holes, nail pops, imperfections
- Caulking
- Straining paint
- Organizing
- Taking direction
- Communicating clearly
- Moving ladders and other equipment
- Applying primers and paints in a manner consistent with company standards
Ideal candidate:
- Polite to everyone
- 1 to 4 years or Summers experience painting (you know how to hold a brush but are not set in your ways)
- Punctual to a fault
- Positive attitude
- Positive attitude :-)
- High Energy
- Follows directions
- Ability to transport yourself to jobs within Chittenden County
- Ability to work full-time (regular hours)
- Able to pass a background check looking only for incidents of abuse or violence
- No drama, please leave it at home.
We have massive respect for the 20-30 year's experience painters out there but that is not who we're looking for this time around. We want someone we can train and mold into what the company needs.
