I need to put a crew of three carpenters together for immediate (first job starting in two weeks). Looking for a ground person and two on the wall.
If I need to explain:
1) how to cut a 38 or 45 degree compound miter for crown,
2) cut hips and valleys
3) why joints are beveled
4) layouts / rough openings
5) crowning, and no not pregnancy or needing the facilities
6) which side of the line to cut on
7) def of RCH
8) how to square up a board
or need any of the following:
1) a caulking gun - for anything other than weather proofing
2) hand tools; if you need a coping saw you are excused - I'll show you how to use a grinder instead
3) OSHA compliant power tools
4) safety glasses
5) a tool pouch
6) general common sense
7) supervision
8) a swift kick in the pants to stay motivated
Then, these positions are not for you.
I take on guts, additions, exteriors, and rot
I am not looking for a vinyl siding crew.
I am not looking for a caulk joint crew.
I have my labor force, but I need my carpentry crew.
If you are a part of a crew, or can plug yourself into a crew fitting the above description then reply, but please don't waste your time or mine. I have the resources to get us off the ground. It is going to take the right crew to keep us in the air.
