Art Assistant for dug Nap Art - Needed to start immediately!

Overview:

dug Nap Art is a thriving creative business that distributes art prints to galleries and customers across the U.S. We’re a small, local business with great potential for growth, looking for someone motivated to use their current skills to enhance the business. This position requires the ability to work independently and collaborate as a team, taking initiative to complete work in a timely manner, while maintaining open communication with dug Nap and the other Art Assistant.

dug Nap Art studio is located at One Main street on the waterfront in Burlington. With easy access to shops, the bike path, restaurants, a gym and many other features of Burlington, this is a great place to work!

Position Hours:

Approximately 35+ hours/week. Usually 10AM-ish to 5PM. If you mail out art late in the day it may run past 5.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Helps manage day-to-day business operations

Helps keeps detailed records of sales, shipments, and communication with galleries

Helps update our new website with new products

Helps oversee assembling, packing, and shipping of orders and restocks

Helps perform basic editing of images for print using Photoshop

Helps monitor and restocks studio materials

Helps frame and mat artwork

Helps develop and implement strategy for business growth

Helps research and find new business opportunities

The Ideal Candidate:

Works with a passionate artist/owner to grow a small business

Sales experience preferred

Proficient in Mac computers and familiar with Apple products

Savvy with technology and troubleshooting

Photoshop experience necessary - crop, export, file management, resize, print management, creative presentation.

Balance completing studio tasks from the artist and being a self-starter

Excellent organization and communication skills

Resourceful, creative problem solver

Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds

College degree preferred

Can commit to working for a year or more within reason

Sense of humor essential :)
