Playa Bowls is coming to Vermont! We are seeking a positive and passionate General Manager to join the team and help us open in South Burlington this summer!

WHO YOU ARE
You’re a positive, enthusiastic leader with a passion for healthy living, superfoods, and people. As General Manager, you’ll oversee all operations of your location, leading a team of Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders, and Team Members to deliver exceptional service and uphold Playa’s standards. You're motivated by growth, love a fast-paced environment, and bring a mix of fun, organization, and accountability to the team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead hiring, training, and staff development
- Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Manage budgets, payroll, inventory, and daily financials
- Schedule staff using appropriate systems and tools
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve guest concerns
- Handle maintenance needs and vendor coordination
- Participate in food prep, restocking, and service as needed
- Maintain cleanliness, records, safety logs, and open/close procedures
- Live and promote the Playa Bowls mission, purpose, and values
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Proven leadership and customer service skills
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, supply chain, and staffing
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking
- Proficient in point-of-sale systems and basic business software
- Uphold health regulations and food safety standards
- 30 to 50-hour workweek, including weekends and holidays
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods
- Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds
- Ability to reach low/high shelving, freezer/fridge, and under counters
