Kimpton Taconic is looking for a Bellman / Front Desk Assistant to help provide a positive first and last impression to guests as they arrive and leave the hotel assisting with luggage and general guest requests, and help maintain the cleanliness and appearance of common areas in the hotel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Greet all guests upon arrival with "Good morning" or (afternoon, evening). Act as an advocate for the hotel, be a creator of ridiculously personal experiences and develop relationships with guests that will compel them to return.
Assist guests with luggage to their rooms promptly when checking in and upon checking out.
Assist with delivery of ‘forgot it, we got it’ supplies, packages, amenities and other items to guest rooms.
Assist guests with parking/ valet guest vehicles as requested.
Drive the hotel ‘shuttle’ vehicle to local destinations for hotel guests.
Setup and maintain the lobby coffee station by refilling and cleaning as necessary.
During the winter months, set and light the lobby wood burning fireplace.
Deliver messages, packages, flowers, wine, and other items to guests in their guestrooms.
Quickly respond to all guest requests in a timely and friendly manner.
Keep bell closet clean and neat, polish and clean bell carts daily.
Help maintain the common areas by removing any trash, cans, bottles, cups, etc.
When the guest service agents are not available; assist guests with general information.
Provide other assistance to front desk agents and guests as necessary.
