Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher

Hunger Mountain Children's Center, a non-profit child care and preschool, is seeking a full-time Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher for our 1-year-old room classroom. The lead teacher collaborates with their co-teacher to provide a safe, caring and supportive classroom environment, where children have endless opportunities to explore their world. They must be able to communicate and work well with others in a team environment with the goal of implementing a quality educational program and developing positive relationships with children and their families.

Duties:

- Collaborate with co-teacher to establish classroom curriculum

- Proper classroom management, safety and supervision at all times

- Help children maintain healthy hygiene and change diapers

- Communicate and build relationships with children and families

- Help manage the appearance and cleanliness of the facility

- Abide by Vermont Licensing Regulations

The candidate must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma. The ideal candidate will have an Early Childhood Apprenticeship Certificate, Associates Degree and/or qualify as a Teacher Associate through VT licensing regulations. An added bonus would be a Bachelor's Degree with early childhood education credits and/or qualify as a Teacher through VT licensing regulations, which may qualify for a higher salary.
