The purchasing coordinator is responsible for preparing purchase orders and maintaining purchasing records. Confirms prices and specifications with suppliers and obtains quotes as part of purchase order preparation. Assists Corporate Accounts Payable by researching variances in the three-way match process required for vendor payments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work hand in hand with suppliers to cultivate advantageous relationships for ESW
- Process requisitions, prepare purchase orders and submit all relevant supplier paperwork in a timely manner
- Coordinate timing and releases of materials to save freight for stone deliveries
- Ensure an appropriate level and mix of inventory is stocked at each applicable location to ensure uninterrupted production and installation activities
- Maintain accurate vendor price lists and relevant ERP information
- Maintain product ID’s and product detail in ERP system as well as job associations
- Acquire MSDS sheet on materials as needed
- Maintain current open purchase order reports and received but not invoiced reports
- Research and resolve aged purchase orders and received but not invoiced items
- Maintain required electronic records of purchase orders and receiving documents
- Assist with periodic inventory counts as directed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have at least 3-5 years’ purchasing experience in manufacturing or construction. Associate degree or above preferred

- Excellent ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Advanced MS Office systems including Excel.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
- Must be service oriented with proven professionalism and a positive attitude
- Ability to walk the plant floor and yard regularly
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Ability to read and write the English language.
