Become a maker of possible with us.The Process Control Operator is responsible to quality assurance of products released from the department, provide guidance, motivation, and support to production associates in regards to all Quality aspects in the manufacturing area. This position will work closely with Coaches, Line Leads, and Quality Techs to provide proactive quality support, as well as, support investigation and containment of quality issues. This role requires flexibility to support operations by operating equipment as required and lead training on quality process and operation of equipment. Participate in all team meetings, activities, team building initiatives, and continuous improvement activities.Responsibilities:

Sample and inspect the product and record the results on the control charts.

Perform additional sampling as required.

Operate quality inspection instruments, i.e. Nikon, Chatillon, tool maker scope, etc.

Inform key personnel of any control chart points that are out of spec any trends which are of concern.

Initiate Quality Notifications as required.

Aid in problem solving of specific manufacturing problems.

Assist in training and certifying operators; quality inspections, machine operation, etc.

Run production equipment as required.

Maintain certification on all processes in the department.

Work overtime as needed by the department.

Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, etc. Continuously improve through the KAS program, meeting department goals for completed KAS.

Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations. Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Deliverables:

Timely reporting of all non-conformances.

Meet or exceed individual, department, plant, and business goals and objectives as appropriate.

Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED - Not Required

2 years of production processing and quality control or completion of Process Control Operator certification at the time of application - Preferred

Preferred Skills:

Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Mechanical aptitude.

Comfortable working in a clean room environment.
