Aerotek is seeking for a full time Sr. HVAC Tech in Sandy, UT. (Direct hire not a contract job).What this job involves -This position has a focus on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial HVAC, Refrigeration and Chiller systems at a large commercial manufacturing facility of disposable medical devices.A very high percentage of “wrench time” is expected. Individuals are expected to demonstrate a high technical expertise in HVACR and Chillers PM, troubleshooting, and repair. The individual in this role must be available for call-in work and to perform other duties as required. The candidate must possess the ability to diagnose and repair equipment with minimal use of third party vendors.Essential Functions· Maintain all HVACR and Chiller equipment used to maintain ideal temperatures inside manufacturing clean-room buildings.· Monitor the operation and make adjustments on chiller, refrigeration, heat exchangers, HVAC, and hot water systems· Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, and ventilating and hot water heaters; pumps, valves, piping and filters; other mechanical and electrical equipment.Qualifications· High school diploma, GED, or state equivalent. Completion of trade/vocational schooling preferred· Universal HVAC certification· 5+ years of experience working with HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, air handlers, cooling towers, and freezers at commercial or industrial facilities.· Factory training / experience working with chiller systems (Carrier, Trane, etc)· Capable of operating CMMS systems· Strong communication skills· Physically able to most of 'wrench work', able to perform most aspects of hands-on HVAC maintenance and repairs. Able to lift up to 50 lbs.· Able to work in close places such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc.Shift 6am or 7am to 3PM, Monday-Friday, Will rotate every 6-7 weeks being on call for 1 week evenings and weekendsPay: $40-43/hour DOEDirect hire and excellent benefits.
