Test Engineer

Zions is currently seeking a Test Engineer to design, develop and execute test execution plans (automated and manual) across test phases based on test strategy using automated testing tools, programming languages and industry accepting testing methodologies and procedures. This individual will also have the following responsibilities:

• Writes code, scripts or procedures to test systems and/or controls.
• Ensures proper procedures and controls are in place throughout the testing process.
• Reviews testing deliverables.
• Responsible for reporting and tracking issues.
• Responsible for the test planning, design and development of appropriate automated test cases for all areas of responsibility.
• Works on a cross-functional Agile SCRUM team.
• Writes code/scripts to test systems and or controls.
• Other duties as assigned.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer, or Information Systems preferred.
• 4+ years of programming, test automation, manual testing, writing test plans and test cases or other directly related work experience.
• A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• Extensive knowledge of automated testing applications, software testing methodologies, testing tools, platforms, related systems and technologies.
• Experience with SQL, DB2, Selenium, SOAP and REST API’s.
• Must have strong analytical, organizational, problem resolution, customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations.
• Requires effective time management and work ethics.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Familiar with Azure DevOps for reporting and tracking bugs.
• Passionate about quality, reliability, and process improvement.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with others at all levels of technical understanding.
• Self-starter, ability to manage own time and priorities, and guide/mentor/lead others.
• Good communication skills, positive attitude, team player.
