DescriptionAccountemps has an immediate opportunity for a skilled, knowledgeable, highly motivated, and success driven team player to join a Contract/Procurement Unit, which will develop and maintain compliance with department wide contracting and procurement processes. This includes a portfolio of government funds with complex funding sources, including federal, state and local funding, in various human service programs and services.The Contract/Procurement detail oriented is a detail oriented that will play a key role in assuring efficient and effective procurement processes for the department. The desired candidate has expertise in government procurement and contract management.Job Duties Creates, maintains and follows department wide procurement policies and the requirements and regulations concerning the procurement process. Maintains good relationships with vendor. Creates and/or maintains department wide contracting policies and procedures, requirements and regulations concerning the contract process. Works with subject matter experts to edit scopes of work, technical specifications, and other solicitation/contract documents for clarity and consistency. Coordinates program, finance, evaluation and administrative teams to support contract processes. Other duties as assigned.RequirementsExperience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills Demonstrated understanding and experience with the principles, practices, and terminology typically used. Knowledge of contract administration and federal, state, and county statutes and regulations pertaining to procurement of contracts. Experience and knowledge of procurement theory, principles and practices, contract development, and contract negotiations. Experience facilitating discussions, resolving conflicts, and finding resolutions. Experience streamlining work processes, improving operations, decreasing turnaround time, meeting deadlines, and working cooperatively to provide quality seamless customer service. Strong communication, writing, problem-solving, analytical, and investigative research skills. Demonstrated skill in development and documentation of policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability in prioritizing workloads, working successfully under pressure with tight timelines and changing priorities. Any equivalent combination of experience and education, which provides the applicant with the desired skills, knowledge, and ability required to perform the work. Experience handling multiple solicitations while managing competing priorities. Expert organizational skills and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively with program managers to secure integrated work products.
