Caption Care is a turnkey, end-to-end echo program that leverages Caption AI technology platform to deliver convenient, cost-effective echocardiograms in any care setting to identify heart disease earlier—before undiagnosed issues become serious.As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer at Caption Health, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of our products. You will work closely with our development and product teams to design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans, ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of our software products. Your expertise in automation, test methodologies, and attention to detail will be essential in helping us meet and exceed our quality standards.No Sponsorship for this Role or OPTJob DescriptionEssential Responsibilities:In this role you will:

Collaborate with product managers and development teams to understand project requirements and acceptance criteria.

Design and develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.

Perform manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, E2E and Integration testing.

Continuously improve and expand our test automation framework and test suites.

Identify and report defects, track their status, and work closely with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution.

Proactively identify potential quality issues and suggest improvements to the development process.

Work closely with the Regulatory and Quality teams to integrate software quality activities with regulatory plans, documentation, and quality systems.

Provide the team with timely and accurate QA status and progress during all project testing phases.

Ensure proper configuration management of test management software and requirements traceability.

Basic Qualifications:

BS in Engineering or computer science (or equivalent)

3-5 years of hands-on QA testing experience in a fast-paced agile environment

3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on web and mobile applications.

At least 2 years of related experience working in software quality in a medical industry preferred.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to travel as required about 5 times a year to San Mateo, CA.

Desired Characteristics:

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes

Good familiarity in building/developing automation framework.

Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for test automation

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $94,800.00-$142,200.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
