RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has an innovative technology client that is seeking a UAV HW/SW Systems Integration Engineer. We are working directly with the Hiring Manager on this exclusive search assignment. The company offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, stock/RSU's, etc. This position is partial remote. The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinarian with capabilities such as mechatronics (hardware, software, control systems), Robotics, or UAV systems and/or RF Data Links.
Key Responsibilities: Designing, Prototyping, and Implementing innovative solutions for multiple platforms Testing and Validating UAV system performance Troubleshooting autonomous flight systems Working with operational teams on root cause analysis of manufacturing failures and returnsREQUIREMENTS: BS or MS degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline 3-5 years of demonstrated engineering experience in multidisciplinary product development Strong experience and technical understanding of UAV or other platforms including flight control systems Experience in RF/Radio data links including Remote Controls, and Digital radios, and GNSS/GPS systems is a plus but not required Experience with networking including IP Addressing, Subnets, partitioning, VLANs, & wireless networks Experience working in an agile development environment and being part of a highly integrated team collaborating with hardware and software engineering teams Effective verbal and written communicationDesired Skills: Part 107a certification is a plus but not required Experience in integrating complex RF electronic systems or aerospace systems, or consumer electro-mechanical systems is a plus Experience with rapid prototyping and in transitioning prototypes to production systems is preferred Programming and Software Design Experience in one or more of the following: (C, Python, RTOS framework) Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying complex hardware systems, including experience with UAV chassis wiring or similar is a plus Experience with EMI testing and mitigation is a plus Experience doing field work is a plus Experience with and understanding of common Flight Controllers/Autopilots (Hardware & Software) is a plus but not requiredKforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
