Grounds Person

Job Description

Maintains resort building and grounds by performing routine preventive maintenance duties.

Responsibilities:

• Competent with operating, mower, edger and trimmers with minimal assistance or supervision.
• Perform other custodial or maintenance duties, as required.
• Perform preventive maintenance in common areas and grounds.
• Maintain lawn, barked areas, weeding, tree and shrub trimming.
• Keep waterfall ponds clear of debris.
• Maintenance or repair gardening equipment, irrigation systems.
• Able to program sprinkler timers.
• Able to program pathway lighting.
• Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Winter months maintain pathways to keep clear of ice and snow and other tasks directed by supervisor.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• 2 years of grounds keeping or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must be able to work in outdoor conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
