Our customer is the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) Program Office located at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This professional will work with the GBSD Reentry System branch of our customer the USAF. Responsibilities will include:- Accountable for execution and oversight of the technical quality and content of engineering efforts as well as processes and products across the Reentry System Branch of GBSD to ensure consistent, exceptional engineering support of the Government customer
- Research, develop, design, and test of Reentry System components, support equipment, systems, and networks
- Assist in the design, develop, simulation and test of a variety of Reentry System components
- Provide technical leadership in the area of modeling and simulation of the GBSD Missile, post boost vehicle and re-entry system
- Assist in the creation, review, and assessment of documents, drawings, briefings, engineering analysis, and various other tasks
- Apply extensive engineering knowledge to ensure and advance principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques
- Bachelors and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience,
- Years of experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or a closely-related technical field
- At least 7 years' experience with DoD-specific technical systems (5+ years with MS or PhD)
- 3 years' experience modeling and simulating flight dynamics
- 3 years of C, Matlab, or Python program languages
- Experience and record of success in executing technical projects
- Excellent cognitive, communication (both written and spoken), and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated self-discipline to plan and prioritize their own work with successful results
- U.S. Citizenship with an active US DoD SECRET Security Clearance granted within the last 5 years with the ability to achieve and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET Security Clearance
- Graduate degree(s) in Aerospace, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related technical fields
- Experience modeling 6DoF Missile Dynamics simulations
- Experience modeling RF Signatures and EO-IR Signatures
- 2 year experience with Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) modeling
- INCOSE ASEP or other comparable professional certification
- Experience with ICBM interceptor and counter measure systems
- Experience in model-based systems engineering and SysML
- Experience with DoD acquisition programs
- ICBM Weapon System experience
- ICBM Reentry System expertise
- U.S. Citizenship with an active US DoD TOP SECRET Security Clearance granted within the last 3 years with the ability to achieve and maintain a US DoD TOP SECRET Security Clearance
