Wichita Falls and anywhere within 100 miles is incredible for solar incentives. Knocking doors for solar pays very well, but what do I mean by well?
Setter/Closers $100,000 to $400,000 a year
Setters $50,000 to $100,000 a year
30 hrs a week in front of potential buyers = 8-20 leads a week = 1-3 getting solar installed. Pay is $500-$1000 upfront and the rest is after installation.
Pros:
1 Saves homeowners money, helps the earth, optional emergency power'
2 $1000 for a set/lead and more $10,000 on some Set+Close
3 9 am-9 pm but work when you want to. People are home after 430 ish.
4 Businesses pay 80% less for solar after grants.
5 Exercise walking daily
6 High Reward, Contractor pay
7 Does not require any experience
8 Southern states have more sun and pay less for solar needing fewer panels.
9 Positive work environment, no office dynamics or boss issues, you are the boss.
10 Available almost anywhere in the USA.
11 Wichita Falls and surrounding cities have excellent solar programs, saving your customers money right away.
Cons:
1 Must have a vehicle or walk 3-10 miles a day.
2 Usually Solo working, no team unless you bring a friend to knock the other side of the street or recruit.
3 Weather will get in the way
4 Lot's of "Not interested"
5 650 credit required or $20k+
6 Not all electricity providers participate
7 Installs can take a month to 2 months. Get paid 100% after installation.
8 Being the boss means internal motivation only. Sometimes it’s nice to be told what to do when you’re not motivated but there are downsides to being told what to do and when to do it.
9 Not a get-rich-quick scheme, takes hard work mostly mental.
