DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Provide strategic leadership and direction to the engineering department, setting clear goals and objectives aligned with the company's vision and mission.Drive product development initiatives, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality robotics solutions that exceed customer expectations.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research and development, product management, and operations, to drive innovation and deliver integrated solutions.Manage the engineering budget, allocate resources effectively, and optimize productivity and efficiency.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and collaboration within the engineering organization.Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of robotics innovation.Build and maintain relationships with external partners, suppliers, and customers to drive strategic collaborations and business growth.Has the responsibility and authority to:Ensure that the quality management system (QMS), environmental management system (EMS), and occupational health and safety (OHS) management system conform to the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 respectivelyEnsure that processes needed for the QMS, EMS, and OHS management systems are established, implemented, maintained, and are delivering their intended outputsReport to top management on the performance of each management system, risk opportunities for improvement, and any need for change or innovationEnsure the promotion of awareness of customer focus throughout Nauticus Robotics, and;Ensure the integrity of the QMS, EMS, and OHS management systems is maintained when changes are planned and implemented
