The AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team shapes the digital transformation necessary for our treatments to positively impact patients’ lives.In the role of Labs BTS Specialist, you’ll tackle complex challenges as you develop and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.The Labs BTS Specialist position is focused on hands on end user support, administration, installation, and issue resolution for GxP controlled laboratory equipment, servers, desktops, and software applications. The Role performs laboratory upgrades for both software and hardware related items. This position is responsible for authoring Labs system documentation as well as execution of test scripts as needed. In this role you’ll be responsible for:

Troubleshoot and resolve complex laboratory technical issues involving software, OS, hardware, network, or scientific equipment setup/interfaces.

Perform laboratory equipment, hardware, and software upgrades.

Coordinate with users and vendors to facilitate timely resolution of software hardware issues.

Execute routine system administration and maintenance activities as required (Including audit trail review, system patching and system recertification)

Create and maintain system documentation including system design specifications, user requirements, functional requirements, or routine controlled application change forms.

Proactively communicate with laboratory stakeholders and update help desk tracking software as necessary

Ensure proper user management process is adhered to for all computerized systems.

Administer lab system access requests.

Participates in or leads computerized system software/solution provider audits.

Lead and Support Business Continuity Planning for Lab based systems.

Act as onsite Lab BTS SME for internal Audits and Regulatory Inspections (FDA, HPRA, LNE, etc.)

Document all incidents, support issues and changes using the SNOW tools

Perform ongoing IT maintenance such as system monitoring, alarm/event analysis

Tools and skills you will use in this role:

OneVault, GlobalTrackwise, PomsNet, MODA, LIMS, OSI/PI, Acronis, Avamar, Mfg Securtiy Index

Chemistry lab, microbiology lab, incoming QA, QC, Plastics, Compounding, Filling and Packaging

Experiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:Required:

Bachelor's Degree with 7 years experience; Master's Degree with 6 years experience; PhD with 2 years experience.

Experience working with all disciplines in and supporting a Laboratory environment including QA, CSV, QC, Laboratory Analysts

Previous experience providing IT systems solutions and support in Pharmaceutical or Manufacturing industries an advantage.

Ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision.

Beneficial:

Experience of Pharmaceutical Industry Regulations cGMP/cGLP, 21 CFR 11 and EU Annex 11 compliance requirements.
