All programs are registered with the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards.Three dual degrees are offered: JD/MS in PFP, MBA/MS in PFP, and MS Tax/MS PFP and a minor in Agricultural Economics Ph.D. is also supported.Graduate certificates in Personal Financial Planning, Charitable Financial Planning, and Life-Centered Financial Planning and a hybrid delivery MS degree are provided.An online major in Applied Personal Finance and a minor in the Studies of Personal Finance and other courses meet the financial literacy needs of Texas Tech students.Enrollment of majors includes approximately 158 undergraduate students and 126 graduate students, of which 49 are doctoral. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in financial planning, or a closely related discipline (e.g., family & consumer sciences, personal finance, consumer & family economics, family resource management).

CFP® certification required or in the process of obtaining the CFP® certification.

College-level teaching experience or relevant industry experience in financial planning. 3-year minimum
