Provide expert clinical care to patients with a wide range of pulmonary conditions, including but not limited to lung cancer, interstitial lung diseases, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and sleep disorders.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis, stage of disease, and overall health status.
Collaborate with other specialists, including thoracic surgeons, radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology nurse navigators and respiratory therapists, to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with lung cancer.
Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding their condition, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including performance improvement projects and clinical research, to enhance patient outcomes and advance the field of pulmonary medicine.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in the electronic medical record, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Collaborate with other members of the pulmonary team to provide seamless and coordinated care to patients.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in pulmonary medicine through ongoing professional development and education.
Qualifications:
Medical degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification in Pulmonary Medicine
Proven clinical experience in managing a wide range of pulmonary conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment
Commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently

About Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital:Houston Methodist The Woodlands opened on June 26, 2017 as the eighth hospital in the Houston Methodist system. This new 187-bed, 470,000-square-foot, full-service, acute care hospital offers many of the same services as our flagship hospital in the Texas Medical Center.
