Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in The Woodlands TX. This role is in manufacturing industry and will be based 100% onsite. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be expected to handle high volume accounts payable for two entities, with an emphasis on thoroughness and attention to detail.Responsibilities: Manage high-volume invoicing for two distinct entities Conduct regular checks and comparisons on invoices to identify any discrepancies Utilize Excel extensively and adapt to the use of a proprietary ERP system Investigate variances in invoices and take initiative to ask relevant questions for clarification Maintain and update accounts payable records and customer credit applications Monitor customer accounts regularly and initiate appropriate actions as needed Liaise directly with the Accounting Manager on all related tasks and responsibilities Ensure intercompany transactions and 3-way matching processes are accurately performedRequirements Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role dealing with accounts payable. Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures. Demonstrated experience in handling High-Volume Invoicing. Familiarity with intercompany accounting practices and procedures. Experience with 3-way matching. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
