JOB SUMMARYThe Credentialing Coordinator role is the liaison between operational leadership, medical staff, and providers to decrease barriers and administrative burdens related to the initial appointment and reappointment process for credentialing. The Talent Acquisition Coordinator serves as a resource in managing administrative functions related to the provider credentialing process utilizing the appropriate database tracking systems.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLECredentialing
Accountable for managing the workflow of the provider credentialing process for initial appointments and reappointments
Acts as a liaison between the department, medical staff office, and provider
Ongoing monitoring of provider applications to ensure desired turnaround times are met utilizing the appropriate database tracking systems
Requests appropriate missing or incomplete information as necessary
Respond to provider, department, and medical staff office written and verbal inquiries
Communicates about processing questions from provider and/or credentialing contact in addition to BSWH MSS offices and CVS leadership as required
Notifies all parties of expiring appointments and outstanding applications and ensures timely application submission
Sends status and reminder communication to practitioner and department
