Position Purpose:Under direct supervision, receives funds from customers and records monetary transactions. Counts money to verify amounts. Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
Records payments received into the lockbox
Deposits payments received at the location by sending checks to the lockbox
Records batches and applies to invoices
Research and resolve over and short payments
Contacts vendors to resolve problems relating to payments
Research and resolves unapplied cash
Monitors unapplied cash and take measures to minimize
Makes sure that cash transactions are properly recorded
