OverviewThe On-site Safety & QC Associate mission is to promote a strong safety culture and healthy work environment. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety programs, enforcing policies, and conducting training, inspections, audits, and job safety analysis to ensure compliance with the ABM safety program and local, state, federal, and various regulatory agencies. In conjunction with operations and other stakeholders, this role is heavily engaged in efforts to produce the number of injuries and the AL/GL claims.The Safety Associate is also responsible for driving process improvements through statistical analysis of injury data to identify and address the root causes of injuries. The role is field-focused (on-site ), spending time at ABM's client, providing support to management, supervisors, and employees, and working together with other stakeholders to promote safety initiatives with the goal of zero accidents and injuries.Benefit Information:ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package. Ensures compliance in post-accident testing and motor vehicle record checks.

Ensures that any injuries, incidents, accidents, and irregular operations are documented, reported, and processed appropriately.

Responds to injuries, incidents, accidents, and irregular operations 24/7/365.

Collaborates with local senior leadership to investigate injuries, incidents, accidents, and irregular operations.

Maintain records related to safety, security, and quality as required, including but not limited to database data entry, accident/incident reports, OSHA logs, environmental spills/releases, observations, inspections, audits, etc.

Inspires and motivates employees while developing the leadership skills of direct reports.

Communicates effectively, maintains a positive approach to problem-solving, and collaborates with stakeholders to demonstrate continuous improvement.

Provides management reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing information, and making recommendations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Employee must have experience working with Microsoft Office software applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Preferred/Required:

Bilingual English and Spanish a must

Ability to communicate effectively in the English language. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and handbooks.

Minimum of 3+ years of safety related experience

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations are essential.

Strong problem-solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

Must be 21 years of age or older.

Must submit to and pass a drug screen.
