We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing network infrastructure within our data center environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and security of our network.
Responsibilities:
Data Center Design:
Design and document detailed rack layouts, including power distribution, cooling, and cable management.
Plan and implement optimal placement of top-of-rack (ToR) switches and other network devices.
Design and implement efficient network topologies, including core, aggregation, and access layers.
Conduct site surveys and assess existing infrastructure to identify potential areas for improvement.
Collaborate with other engineering teams (e.g., electrical, mechanical, security) to ensure seamless integration of network infrastructure.
Network Infrastructure:
Plan and implement network upgrades and expansions to support business growth and evolving technology requirements.
Configure and troubleshoot network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Implement and maintain network security best practices, including intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS).
Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, procedures, and standards.
Project Management:
Participate in all phases of network projects, from planning and design to implementation and testing.
Manage project timelines and budgets effectively.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on data center environments.
Proven experience with network design and implementation, including routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP).
Strong understanding of network security concepts, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
