Journalist Needed to Document Stories of Resilience After Texas Floods

Description:
GiveDirectly is a nonprofit organization that provides direct cash transfers to people in need. We are supporting survivors of the Texas floods, helping them begin to rebuild their lives after the disaster.
We’re looking to hire a freelance photojournalist to help us tell their stories.
What we need:
Interview 3-5 recipients of our cash support program who are open to sharing their experiences (Estimate 3 hours per recipient)
Document their stories through written interviews, photography and video
Help us raise awareness of their resilience and the impact of the support they received
Ideal candidate:
Strong storytelling skills, with experience conducting sensitive interviews
Good Photography and/or videography skills (can be on iPhone as long as technique is strong)
Able to travel within the affected area (recipients are based locally) and own coordination / scheduling with hard-to-reach recipients
Previous experience in nonprofit, human-interest, or disaster recovery storytelling is a plus
