Business Systems Analyst

Description We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst in San Antonio, Texas, who will contribute significantly to the enhancement of our business processes and systems. The individual will be instrumental in analyzing, designing, and implementing improvements to our existing processes and systems, with a focus on the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Fleet & Facilities division. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Analyze and diagram existing business processes to identify potential areas of improvement. Develop and present visual aids and presentations to communicate design concepts to project teams. Create and maintain databases and spreadsheets using IT systems applications. Ensure solutions are optimized for integration, performance, usability, and sustainability. Conduct analysis of EAM operations, suggest recommendations for improvement, and assist in implementing these improvements. Generate ad-hoc and periodic reports using IT systems reporting software. Maintain and update fleet information in the EAM system. Prepare and analyze periodic maintenance reports to identify trends, discrepancies, productivity issues, cost issues, and performance relative to established goals. Compile and distribute periodic reports throughout the Fleet and Facilities Division. Conduct surveys with external sources such as agencies, vendors, and equipment manufacturers to identify industry standards and accepted practices. Identify opportunities to develop data-driven analyses, forecasts, and financial and statistical models. Lead data validation and quality assurance efforts for the data and reporting infrastructure. Develop operational, analytical, and strategic reporting solutions based on functional area requirements. Requirements Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira and Confluence. Demonstrated experience in business systems analysis. Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. Ability to conduct gap analysis to identify areas for improvement in business systems. Experience with AB Testing to evaluate system modifications. Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies. Proven skills in backlog grooming to prioritize system development tasks. Comprehensive knowledge of business process functions. Ability to create detailed Business Requirement Documents. Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.
