- Linux Engineer/Admin skills, focus on automation (Ansible), real world experience working on Oracle Engineered systems

- Sr. Linux engineer who has worked in a large enterprise supporting mission critical apps providing L2/L3 support, focus on automation (ansible) and hands on experience with Oracle engineered systems (Exadata, ZFS)
- Experience with Terraform
- Preferred experience with DevOps and SRE methodologies.
- Good to have Cloud Knowledge in AWS and Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
- Design, implement, and evaluate current and future infrastructure initiatives for the highest level of efficiency and performance
- Work closely with various IT groups including but not limited to project management, database administration, network and security teams, application team and assist in overall architectural design, implementation and troubleshooting
- Applying and troubleshooting QFSDP Patches on Exadata platform without the help from Oracle Platinum Support.
- Ability to work with Oracle in supporting new Exadata build activities.
- Solid understanding of Oracle multitenant architecture.
- Review and fix issues found in Exachk, AWR, ADDM, Exawatcher reports
- Must have worked on Oracle 19c grid, Oracle 12.2/19c RAC databases, 13c cloud control.
- Experience in GRID, database home installation, Database upgrade, patching, and regular maintenance in Exadata
- Analyzes, acquires, installs, modifies and supports Linux operating systems, utilities and Internet/intranet-related tools
- Configuration management and automation (e.g. Ansible, Python)
- Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting and resolution
- Perform Linux OS installations, patching and upgrades
- Maintain operating systems and associated infrastructure software
- Design and document SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for system administration activities
- Install and maintain Server OS, configuration, and patching levels using tools automated installation like Red Hat Satellite.
- A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding with area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
- Preferred experience with DevOps and SRE methodologies
- 6+ years’ experience in a level 2/3 enterprise server systems support role and/or Linux/Exadata based administrator position.
- Proficient with Oracle Exadata (X6, X8M, X9M) and ZFS machine architectures
- Strong knowledge of resource management [IORM and DBRM] and Exadata alerts remediation.
- Demonstrated experience with upgrade and patching support for OS, RoCE switch, storage and database nodes.
- Experience with Exadata HW maintenance (HBA, networking, power), disk drive maintenance (Faulty Disk Replacements, Cell Server restores from corruption/failure).
- Expert level in on premise and cloud providers systems administration
- Expert level working with Linux Server in a virtualized environment
- Expert level in integrating various Linux distributions (particularly Red Hat Enterprise and Ubuntu) in heterogeneous environments.
- Expert level applying Red Hat Satellite to management of all manner of Linux distributions.
- Experience with High Availability and Disaster Recovery environments.
- Experience with virtual container applications (Docker).
- Experience with deployment automation tools (Ansible).
- Experience with virtualized environments (VMWare).
- Experience with storage technologies (RAID, CIFS/SMB, NFS, NAS and SAN).
- Experience with change and incident management processes
- Self-motivated to seek out and resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Networks with other senior personnel in own area of expertise
- Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
- On-call after hours support will be required as part of a team rotation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field required
- Experience with compliance frameworks such as NIST, HIPPA, ISO, etc. are a plus.
- RHCSA and/or RHCSE are preferred
