Job Description - Senior Data Software Engineer - Remote SENIOR DATA SOFTWARE ENGINEER Remote, USA ICS is hiring a Senior Software Engineer with a focus around data, for a 12 month project on our Client's Data team. What You'll Do:
- Design scalable, reliable, and performant systems to manage data
- Work with engineers from across the organization
- Build quality systems while expanding offerings to dependent teams
- Implement observability in the form of metrics, logging, and monitoring
- Consume data from any source, such a flat files, streaming systems, or RESTful APIs
- Collaborate closely with team members, including a Product Manager, as a technical mentor and leader
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with one or more of the following:
- SQL
- Python
- Java
- Go
- Designed, maintained, and expanded with AWS cloud systems
- Knowledge of distributed SQL systems
- Management of data pipelining with batch, stream, event, or API driven systems
- Used metrics and monitoring systems for real-time observability
- Expansive use of relational and non-relational databases
- Strong communication skills
