Our services span from initial planning and investment, through start-up and operations.Project Overview:Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure GlobalBusiness Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.As the #1 LNG EPC contractor by installed capacity, Bechtel has the capability to successfully deliver a broad range of LNG projects through our integrated EPC self-perform model, strategic partnerships, and proven experience in LNG project delivery. Partnering with Bechtel means lower cost, shorter delivery schedules, and greater certainty of outcomes for our customers.Job Summary:Experienced professional with proven hands-on Industrial Relations (IR)/Employee Relations (ER) experience non-union construction within the United States. Interfaces with craft workforce, construction leadership, client and general public., Represents the project in Industrial Relations activity including employee investigations, reprimands, terminations, data entry in Human Resource Information System (HRIS), communications, and training/coaching. Ensures that IR activities conform to company and site policies/procedures and legal requirements.#LI-TH1Major Responsibilities:

Complies with Bechtel and IR department policies and procedures.

Perform investigations, interview witnesses, review procedures/regulations, gather timelines and compile complete files for final review by management. Then, determine causal factors and recommend corrective/preventative actions.

Compiling and preparing documentation on investigation reports and action plans

Tracking to closeout of corrective actions.

Coordination of the formation of an investigation review committee as needed.

Coaching others, through participation in investigations, on the best practices and approach/methods taken to evaluate/categorize and appropriately report incidents

Develops communications to ensure Craft Professionals are kept apprised of any changes that may impact them.

Prepares and delivers training packages to construction leadership team e.g. investigations and dispute resolution etc.

Supports and coaches field supervision on managing performance of Craft Professionals, ensuring fairness and consistency across the project.

Assist in the project reduction in force process.

Work with both Employee Dispute Resolution (EDR) and Ethics Teams in complex employee relations investigations and resolves employee disputes.

May assist with site orientation and onboarding.

May assist in policy development and management.

Collects, assembles and analyzes data for IR reports and compares to the company requirements.

Monitors existing project IR process to ensure desired objectives and/or results are being achieved in accordance with Bechtel and Bechtel Construction Services policies and procedures.

Assist in the Onboarding on new hires.

Other duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:Requires BS/BA Degree and 3+ years’ experience, or 9+ years in Lieu of a degree.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Advanced knowledge of applicable labor laws.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent employee relations skills and experience.

Intermediate to advanced skill using the Microsoft Office suite of software, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Experience in using SAP, in a HRIS and Employee Self Service (ESS) function, would be advantageous.

Experience in using BrassRing, as ATS and onboarding function, would be advantageous.

Broad knowledge and understanding of IR, including project experience in an administrative or employee relation role for IR. Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Strong organization and administrative skills.

Bi-lingual a plus.
