Job Description:This includes driving the strategic technology agenda with the goal of improving effectiveness, process improvement and reporting efficiency. Typical projects involve roadmap development, product management, liaising with team members to define technology requirements and working with technology to drive the build out, testing and implementation. Job ResponsibilitiesThe Product Owner (PO) defines and improves technology products to satisfy evolving customer needs through collaborative partnership with engineering, development and operational roles. The PO manages the product vision, strategy, roadmap and backlog. This includes:Contributing to product strategy and innovation initiatives by defining a vision for the team’s products, developing product roadmaps, project execution plansPrioritizing, leading, and executing on those plans Understanding the underlying business process, creating user stories, training / user guidesDelivering end-to-end solutions using Agile methodology for technology product creation, management of product back log and prioritization, testing, and defect tracking Facilitating and participating in Scrum meetings and product sprintsActing as an advocate for FORCAST team members ensuring project scope definition meets business objectives and business case / cost benefit analysis is in line with those objectivesCollaborating with FORECAST team members and other key stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirementsFocusing communication for the intended audience Qualifications10+ years relevant work experience in financial services, product ownership, internal consulting team, or other demonstrated experience of product/project management experience requiredStrong problem solving and analytical skills with a proven ability to multi-task, apply critical thinking, sound decision making and focus on outcomes Experience in the management of concurrent initiatives. Strong attention to detailDemonstrated ability to work in a dynamic environment with challenging deadlines and changing prioritiesStrong skills in Project Management, interpersonal relationships, and strong communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite– must be able to create process flows using Visio; must be able to use Excel to analyze data/numbers and tell a story via charts and graphs with the results; should be familiar with Project and have an ability to design and maintain SharePoint for team collaboration and project artifactsCollege Degree required (BA or BS)Prior experience in the financial industry with Operational Risk will allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running Required skillsAnalytical – experience in defining analytical approaches for data-driven projects and applying a range of analytical tools to synthesize insights and focus on outcomes Project management – able to scope projects and create workable project plans. Candidate must be able to meet commitments and balance competing prioritiesCreativity – able to envision outcomes which are different, meet the business requirements and are more sustainableCommunications – possess strong written and oral executive-level communications skillsTechnology – possess sufficient knowledge of emerging technologies, such as robotics and machine learning, to identify opportunities to apply themLeadership – able to influence senior leaders to achieve a common goal or take a common approach Detail-oriented – possess a high level of attention to detail and quality for their work product
