JOB SUMMARYThe Intern, with an emphasis on learning, and under supervision, performs administrative and function-specific activities while working side-by-side with team members in their area.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Provides functional-area help in accordance with instructions and established procedures.

Gains knowledge and experience as projects are assigned and completed.

Learns to anticipate or identify problems and proactively works to solve them.

Uses meetings and trainings as an opportunity to learn how to function successfully in the department.

As needed, asks clarifying questions and communicates promptly and effectively with others.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Able to provide consistently excellent customer service with lenity, patience and confidence.

Social skills required to interact effectively with patients and staff.

Able to establish and maintain effective professional relationships across organizational lines.

Able to communicate thoughts clearly; both verbally and in writing.

Able to research, examine and disseminate information.

Basic computer skills, including but not limited to: typing, information security, electronic medical documentation, hand held scanning and email.
