Our Client, A Global Financial Firm in Plano,TX is hiring an Infrastructure Engineer.

Job Type: Temp to permanent Contract on W2

Hybrid work model: Onsite for 3Days/week

Roles and ResponsibilitiesWork with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releasesPerform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actionsBuild and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patternsLead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demandsParticipate in the 24x7 support coverage as neededDefine and implement SLOs, SLIs and error budgets to ensure stability and performanceDefine, create and track application analytics in support of SLOsDesign, code, test and deliver software solutions to improve our existing systemsParticipate feature delivery ensuring reliability, scalability, resiliency, and operational stability from the outsetManage production application delivery through CI/CD pipelinesRespond to priority incidents and facilitate blameless post-mortemsAction automated alerts with troubleshooting and problem resolution.Lead and participate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demands.Create and maintain documentation/tooling needed for an effective production supportParticipate in the 24x7 support coverage as needed

Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a software engineering disciplineMastery in at least two or more software languages (e.g. Python, Java, Go, etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software deliveryAdept in the development of automated tools, systems, and services in multiple technology domainsAdvanced knowledge of one or more infrastructure components (e.g. networking, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute, and storage systems)Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting componentsExpertise in product and infrastructure supportKnowledge of risk and controls landscape, ensuring company-wide standards are metAbility to execute within a customer-centric environmentExperience of defining and implementing Service level objectives and indicatorsExperience in one or more software languages including JavaAdvanced knowledge of monitoring and visualisation tools (AppDynamics, Splunk, Grafana)Good knowledge of internet protocols and web services (HTTP, DNS, REST, JSON)Proficiency in implementing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GIT, Maven)Experience of database technologies (SQL)Cloud computing (Cloud Foundry, AWS)Microservices architectureInfrastructure as code (Terraform)Databases (CockroachDb, MariaDb, NoSQL)
