Explore is looking for a Safety Supervisor to join our team. The position is responsible for the relationship with an assigned group of drivers & field personnel. Follow and train state, federal, local, customer, and company regulations and policies.
Equipment/Driver Responsibilities:
-Review DOT maintenance and DQ files
-Keep equipment, drivers, and training current
-Receive and review all monthly driver maintenance
-Track inspections, PMs
Hours of Service/Logs/ELD Responsibilities:
-Ensure all devices are recording correctly
-Train drivers on app
-Audit logs and document violations with drivers
General Safety Management:
-Respond to incidents as possible
-Accident investigation, RCA, incident reports. Respond to 3rd party
-Audit drivers and equipment in field
-Customer safety relations. Participate in customer audits
-Maintain manhours, OSHA 300 logs
-Keep division leads informed of hazards and driver concerns. Communicate. Participate in conference calls.
-Inspect new sites and routes as needed
-Accidents & Associated Claims/Insurance
Create:
a. Monthly Safety Meetings
b. KPI tracking
c. New policies and procedures as needed. Review existing annually for compliance
d. Update orientations for all divisions and field crew
e. Road tests, Smith training
REQUIREMENTS:
Live within an hour of the Midland area
2+ years oilfield experience
3+ years working with DOT regulated trucks
1+ year working with HAZMAT
Good knowledge of FMCSA regulations
2+ years in an oilfield safety role
Can easily utilize Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, Outlook
Preferred knowledge/experience/abilities:
Bilingual (Spanish)
Training in Accident Investigation and RCA
Works well with all levels
PEC trainer
Additional safety accreditations
Direct experience working with crude and sand hauling fleets
CDL
ISN/Veriforce experience
