Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Clerk to join our team based in Midland, Texas in the oilfield services industry. This role will require you to handle various accounting and clerical tasks, particularly related to Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) operations, invoice processing, and data entry. Responsibilities: Sort, code, and match AR invoices and enter them into the accounting software. Conduct research within the Accounting Software as needed. Submit invoices to customers on a daily basis. Assist in the collection of AR, ensuring timely payments. Research and correct any disputed invoices to ensure accurate bookkeeping. Produce a weekly AR summary report for the Accountant. Undertake special projects or other duties as assigned by management. Clarify any questionable invoice items to prevent inaccuracies. Engage with management regarding any AR problems and propose solutions. Perform accounting and clerical functions to support the Accountant, Accounting Supervisor, and Controller. Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and edit spreadsheets as required. Requirements Possesses at least 1 year of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar Demonstrates proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Has experience with Billing and Data Entry tasks Familiar with Invoice Processing procedures and systems Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis Has experience with Open Invoice software or similar invoicing systems Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy in work Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills Has the ability to work independently and as part of a team Demonstrates strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines Possesses a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Exhibits strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make effective decisions Willing to continue professional development and stay updated with accounting regulations and standards.
