The Microelectronics department is responsible for the design, fabrication, and test of state of the art Radio Frequency (RF) electronics products, ranging from custom Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), circuit card assemblies (CCAs), and Firmware and Software to control Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESAs).Job Summary: The Microelectronics department is seeking a highly motivated, Computer Science candidate to work on product development for defense applications. The position is available in McKinney, Texas. The job is for an Computer Science student intern position to work in the Microelectronics Depart at our location in McKinney, TX. This position is for an intern who is already pursuing, or will be entering, a post-graduate course of study by the start of Summer 2025. This position is an on-site role.What You Will Do

Primarily be involved in the back-end digital signal processing of high-performance FPGA data products in Radio Frequency (RF) Sensor applications.

Understand and implement Software (C/C, Python, Java, MatLab) in graphical user interface (GUI) environments.

Work in the integrated product team’s environment to design and develop state-of-the-art system components.

This position shall be a Post-Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:

(Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship.

Qualifications You Must Have

Must be at least a Post Graduate by the start of Summer 2025 and pursuing a Graduate degree majoring in Computer Science.

Coursework emphasis in Data Structures and Algorithms, Analysis of Algorithms, Computer Systems, and Software Engineering.

Familiar with MATLAB and one or more scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Java)

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer

3.0 cumulative GPA desired.

Familiar with CPU, FPGA, and embedded software systems design.

Microsoft Office expertise.

Software skills with C/C, Java, Python.

Capable of functioning in multi-disciplined design teams across multiple projects.

Ability to work well in a team environment with excellent communication skills.

Strong analytical skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with coworkers from diverse communities and cultures.

Demonstrated ability to work with colleagues who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
