ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a cost-effective system of care for trauma patients throughout the continuum of care. Works both independently and in collaboration with the trauma program medical director, as well as, other members of the health care and leadership teams. Completes statistical data, facilitates performance improvement activities, reports pertinent findings to respective committees. Self-directed and self-motivating, plans and conducts work with minimal direction, and reports the progress of work to the Emergency Department Director. Acts as a resource and provides information/education to unit staff and the community. Supports the organization’s mission, vision, and core values.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Education Level

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

Licensure/Certification

Current Texas RN License

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (within 60 days of hire/transfer)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS or ENPC) (within 60 days of hire/transfer)

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) (within 18 months of hire/transfer)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently

Strong leadership skills

Must be able to relate to others on a professional level

Ability to plan, organize, and consult

Strong aptitude to present information in a sound and concise manner

Strong computer skills

Experience

Two years of Trauma experience

Pay Range$30.47 - $44.19 /hourWe are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
